We're looking for reliable individuals from a wide range of backgrounds to be considered for a flexible Non-Executive Director opportunity.
About the opportunity
We're looking for reliable individuals from a wide range of backgrounds to be considered for a flexible Non-Executive Director opportunity.
This isn't your typical director position. We're not looking for someone with an impressive boardroom CV, years of executive experience or a track record of hitting ambitious corporate targets.
Instead, we're interested in people who are dependable, communicate clearly and are willing to take on a position of responsibility.
The role is expected to involve a relatively small weekly time commitment, with responsibilities including reviewing correspondence, monitoring communications and providing feedback where appropriate.
What you'll be doing
- Reviewing relevant emails and correspondence.
- Monitoring communications and highlighting matters requiring attention.
- Providing straightforward feedback and updates.
- Maintaining confidentiality and communicating professionally.
- Exercising appropriate oversight and fulfilling the duties of a company director.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
No previous director experience is necessary. You don't need to have been a director before, worked in senior management or held a corporate leadership position.
You may be employed, self-employed, returning to work, changing careers or simply looking for a different type of opportunity.
We're particularly interested in people who are:
- Reliable and organised.
- Comfortable communicating by email.
- Willing to learn and ask questions.
- Able to exercise sound judgement.
- Prepared to understand and fulfil the responsibilities of a formal company directorship.
Location and working arrangements
This is a UK-wide opportunity with a flexible, part-time working arrangement.
Important information
Successful applicants will be required to accept a formal appointment as a company director, which carries legal duties under UK company law.
Although this is designed to be a flexible, low-time-commitment opportunity without conventional executive performance targets, the legal responsibilities of a director still apply.
The appointing organisation's identity, remuneration, full responsibilities and appointment arrangements will be explained to candidates before they make any commitment.
Interested?
Whether you're exploring your first directorship or looking for a flexible opportunity alongside your existing commitments, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
